 Case study

Ishmael and Najihatu are brother and sister and live in the village of Kukuo, which is about 2km from the King's School.

Their father never had the opportunity to go to school.  He's a farmer who has a very low income, due to the exceptionally poor quality of agriculture land in the area.

The twins have been coming to school since the age of four.  They walk in every morning, bringing with them their packed lunch of rice and beans.  They enjoy lessons. Ishmael loves football and Najihatu loves playing ampe which is a local jumping and clapping game.
