58i is a fast growing charity, established by a group of Christians in 2005 committed to seeing the church touch the lives of the most marginalised in society.

Bringing with them experience of both international and local community development, the team sought to establish a charity that sought justice for those with whom it works; was run professionally and delivered lasting and sustainable change as it tackled the root causes of poverty.

Today we work with more than 200 volunteers, run or partner in 7 projects (we run two ourselves currently) and serve many hundreds of people every year.

The name ‘58i' comes from the book of Isaiah, chapter 58 in the Old Testament where God says true faith is to be found in loosening the chains of injustice, sharing food with the hungry and providing shelter for the homeless.
